hello my dear creative
friends it is Hio and today we will start making a roombox for dolls format 1 to 6 I’ll take such a foam board as the basis 5 millimeters thick I will leave a link to this in the description I have long wanted to work with this material it is tight but light and keeps its shape perfectly but of course such a rumbox can be made from other materials eg,
from several layers of cardboard plywood polystyrene foam and things like that I bought 2 sheets of A3 format and cut 3 pieces out of them first: 35 by 50 centimeters – for
gender second and third 35 by 34.5 centimeters and 35 by 50 centimeters for two walls I’ll start from the floor I want to put imitation of laminate or parquet on it of course you can stick scrapbooking paper sheets or print the pattern yourself but I want the laminate to be textured and was not a single texture for this, in a hardware store I bought 2 of these rolls of edgeband I have them 21 mm wide and 5 meters long each to determine the width and
arrangement of parts I cut a few pieces 7 mm wide and a length of 35 millimeters as well as several, 10.5 millimeters wide and 40 millimeters long for clarity, first I will collect fragments of the desired picture I liked the first option more I’ll take it only make 40 millimeters long along the three edges of the base of the floor I
indent 5 millimeters for wall mounting as well as from the side of a small wall I will retreat another 3 centimeters along this line I will align the beginning of every second row it took a lot of planks due to the fact that the print on them will be
go in a mess there will be no feeling of one multiplied texture Of course, you can lay out other parquet drawings for example herringbone on the back side such edge tapes have a grid of hot-melt adhesive which is activated by heat so that, if desired, the planks can only be fixed with a few drops of glue and in the end just iron the entire floor through fabric or parchment ordinary iron just make sure the edge band adheres well to your base hot foam sticks to the foam board and finally I laid the whole floor it took a lot more time than I thought but I really like the result the surface is pleasant to the touch and
realistic here and there I left tiny gaps as if the boards were a little apart from time to time you can also walk lightly with sandpaper
grain for aging next we’ll take care of the small wall I want to make a window on it and it must be working i.e. open and close Here is a markup I drew top indent – 3 centimeters left – 8 centimeters and what remains there window height – 16.5 centimeters and width – 8 centimeters on the window itself I will do thin de-glazing along the perimeter of each leaf I will make a frame 3 millimeters wide and internal jumpers 2
millimeter the cells themselves at the same time I get 26 by 38 millimeters cut out our window opening while adding 1 millimeter to the sides of the windows for loops and if desired, at least 2 millimeters on the bottom edge, on the windowsill walls I will draw up at
help here putty but any other texture will do
paste even made by yourself I do not have a palette knife but there are fingers protect them and for starters since the surface is glossy you can sand it a little with fine-grained sandpaper to improve grip remove dust and now you can putty I will put it in a thin layer. rubbing movements making strokes in different directions no need to make a surface
flat but it’s better not to make extreme swings then you can take, for example, a paper towel and sharp, punching movements create invoice and with foam or a kitchen sponge,
can make small pores so treat the whole wall and while it dries, you can do
windowsill i will make it from scraps of watercolor paper and glue together 4 pieces after that I cut out the windowsill I have this strip of 1.5 by 18 centimeters and a total thickness of 2 millimeters after drying the plaster, mix white and black paints to get a dark gray color I paint the whole wall I do not forget about the slopes of the windows drive the color well into all the recesses at the same time I will paint the windowsill after drying, I apply the second layer without pressure color, a couple of tones lighter than the previous let it dry completely then with an almost dry brush or even a finger barely touching the terrain go through white paint thereby highlighting the texture even more when the paint is dry can be glued and windowsill for window glasses I will take transparent plastic from packaging cut to the selected size and fix to the template a couple of pieces of masking tape from black cardboard I cut strips of 2 and 3 millimeters to devitrification with glue Moment Crystal I stick the strips directly onto the plastic sheet I remove the excess glue immediately to make loops, I’ll take a piece of non-stretching fabric e.g. thick cotton if there is no suitable color, it can also be painted and so that the fabric does not open and becomes a little stronger I will coat it with PVA glue on both sides and after drying, cut it into
5 by 10 millimeters I will need them only 10 pieces duplicated devitrification from another
side of the window I left the horizontal lines not glued to the end and also did not stick a side vertical future loops glue sideways at intersections and then cover them with paper strips I make a handle out of beads and wire and stick it on the window I repeat all this for the second window I attach the hinges to the outside of the wall and leave to dry in the open position on the other hand, the opening can be framed at the same time gluing the loops themselves I will also make a long wall embossed eg you can make such a ruler one centimeter and after applying the paste make brickwork but I want to support the texture of the adjacent wall and in only a few places I will draw
bricks as if in some places due to the curvature of the walls, masonry appears after drying the plaster I will paint the wall with white paint so that the bricks are barely noticeable and now it remains only to collect everything
parts together you can put all this on glue but I want my roombox to be collapsible so I glue the sheets with masking tape and here I got such a roombox Well, now we will gradually fill it and my work in my master classes,
