All Saints Academy Mural – Intro/Canvas Assembly

Hi everyone. I’m Catholic Artist John
McCoy. I’m in Grand Rapids Michigan working for All Saints Academy, creating
a five by 12-foot commemorative mural for their 10 year Anniversary,
depicting 12 saints adoring the Blessed Sacrament. All Saints Academy was founded
by four local parishes: St. Jude’s, St. Isidore, St. Alphonsus, and Blessed
Sacrament, so I’m incorporating those Saints and additionally other Saints
that represent standards and values that All Saints Academy supports. In this
video you’ll get to watch a time-lapse of me assembling, stretching, and priming
this canvas, which is the mural itself, of course before the actual painting begins,
but it’s going to be really cool to see that come together. I want to say thanks
to Upper Canada stretchers. They built the stretcher bars for this project and
they did such a good job that assembly went together very smoothly, so check
it out. Feel free to subscribe to the channel for more content from me. You’ll
get to look forward to the painting process videos for this mural which will
be next so stay tuned and enjoy this video.
