Canvas Art with Washi Tape

Canvas Art with Washi Tape

Hey Everyone, We are going to make some canvas art with
Washi Tape I got this project from the book Washi Style
by Marisa Edghill, of course I will link the book below in the description area.
This is a super simple project. You will need canvas. The size I am using
is 10” X 8” canvas and some washi tape. You will basically lay down different types
of Washi tape. I am specifically using MT brand of washi tape.
I find they have the best stick and they don’t rip when trying to pull the tape off.
To give my project more cohesive look I am sticking to the neon colours.
Washi tape is very forgiving and easy to lift up and redo your lines if you need.
I am wrapping the tape all the way to the back of the canvas to the frame.
I don’t want to have the washi tape wrapping all the way around to other side of the canvas
just in case you can see the shadow of tape behind it.
It is looking a little plain so I am adding some letter stickers to the canvas.
Add what ever phrase or saying you want. Make it motivational if you want.
If you can’t your get your letters to stick to the canvas from the texture of the canvas. You can add some glue behind the letters. I did end up using some Tomboy Mono glue because that is what i had on hand. Depending on how long you want to keep this
project and what type of washi tape you’re using you may need to add some glue behind the washi tape
as well. And there you have your project.
Super Simple. Thanks for watching and good luck with your
project
