Carpentry & Home Improvement Skills : Installing Pulls & Knobs for Cabinets

Okay. I’m Robert Markey and been doing woodworking
for a long time. We’re going to talk about installing knobs for cabinet doors. And I’m
going to assume that this is the bottom of our cabinet door. And the first thing you
want to do is decide exactly where you want that knob to be. If you have a panel, it’s
going to probably be in the center there. That’s kind of a creative option that you
could do. When you decide on the knob that you want to use, you have many options. You’re
going to need to drill a hole through, so the knob will screw down and there you have
it. Okay? So, if we want our knob to be right there. We now want to pick the drill bit that’s
going to allow that to come through. And, that’s pretty good. So, we drill our hole
nice and straight. We take our screw. Tap it through and screw on the knob. If we need
to, use the screwdriver on this side and turn on this side. This is pretty tight. And there
you have it. Robert Markey. Been talking about cabinet knobs.

  1. im going to assume he's been doing wood working for 20 minutes?

shouldnt you measure where the knob goes? instead of eyeing the hole?
