Child’s Bedroom Mural : Child’s Bedroom Mural: Paint Sky

The very first paint we’re going to put on
this wall is our sky color. This is the most distant from us and everything else you paint
is going to be in front of this color. So what I’ve done already is painted this up
here. And I haven’t just painted on the ceiling which you can see that I’ve also done. It’s
all over the ceiling, solid. But I’ve also come down from the ceiling, over the corner
and then down somewhat onto the wall. Why is this? Well I want the ceiling to be the
sky primarily. But I don’t want it to like a very artificial corner look. So I want the
sky to bleed downward somewhat onto the wall. Because the sky is going to meet what’s going
to eventually be our hill area down here which is where we’re going to be painting in our
Savanna color we’ve already poured. But you have to make sure the sky color is already
on here. And what’s more the sky color should be dry so you don’t have a lot of of blah,
blah, blah, color mixing here. I would suggest you do the sky color first and in addition
you allow at least one to two days for the sky color to fully dry. So you’re going to
have a nice solid demarcation line here between your sky and your Savanna grass.
