DIY Christmas Reindeer Wall Art Decor | ANN LE

(Happy, upbeat music) – Hey luvs, how’s it going? So today’s video is going to be the first one of my 15 days of diy’s. So get ready because I’m
going to overload you guys with a whole bunch of holiday diy’s. I’m starting today, I’m going to start with my first home decoration diy. This whole week is going to be dedicated for holiday home decor. Staring this week, we’re going to do some home decoration
diy’s, and today I’m going to show you guys how to
make a really nice wall art for this upcoming holiday season. And don’t forget, if you
guys have any suggestions, I want to call this craziness, then comment below, and let’s get started! Alright guys, so to start off this project you are going to need some materials. So let’s start with a blank white canvas, cardboard, matching paint
and giltter, masking tape, a cup, clear sealant, Mod
Podge or glue, and a hot gun. Starting with the blank white canvas, I’m going to draw out
some striped patterns, and this is where you can get creative and draw whatever patterns you like. You can make polka dots,
you can make floral. Have fun with this, be creative. To make my stripes, I’m
just taking out my ruler and making sure that the lines are nice and straight, and evenly apart. Next up, I’m taking my masking tape out and laying it along the lines. That way I can paint over my stripes and have nice clean lines. I decided that I want
gold, glittery stripes, therefore I’m painting my
stripes with gold paint. And while my paint is
wet, I’m going to hurry up and sprinkle on some gold glitter. If your paint happens to dry up already, you can take some Mod Podge, apply that along your paint line, and
then sprinkle on the glitter. Let your paint set to dry
for a good hour or so, and then take out some
clear gloss, or sealant, and spray that over
your glitter to prevent all your glitter from falling off. Alright guys, so this next step we’re going to paint our plastic cup. And I’m going to take the same paint, apply that onto the cup,
and sprinkle on the glitter. Sometimes the paint doesn’t
hold on to the glitter very well so I recommend for you to
use Mod Podge or tacky glue. Alright guys, excuse my
little burn marks on the side, I was very clumsy with my hair iron and I burned myself twice,
which is very sad, yes. Alright, so going back to this diy, I drew out my deer’s head, and
if you don’t like to draw it, you can find some really
good templates online, just do a Google search for the animal of your choice,
or, a deer’s silhouette. Now take out your template and transfer it onto cardboard paper. After you finish doing so, take out a box cutter or blade
and cut out your shape. Time to paint. Again, with the same
matching paint and glitter, I’m using the same method
by painting onto my surface. And then sprinkling it with some glitter. After your paint is dry,
I recommend for you to spray it again with some clear coating to protect your glitter from falling out. Alright guys, we are almost done. So with that cup you painted earlier, glue that onto the center of your canvas, and then apply more glue generously onto the bottom part of your cup. With your deer’s head, go ahead and place that on top of that
area and then, that is it. Or you can decorate this
to however you like. I chose some pretty little flowers. I absolutely love how this turned out, and I think this would look
so great on top of my mantle. It’s very festive and fun and
great for the holiday season. So I hope you guys enjoyed this, and don’t forget to hashtag me if you will be recreating this. Thank you guys so much for watching. I hope you guys enjoyed
this diy, and if you do, don’t forget to give it a
thumbs up for more diy’s. Also, don’t forget to check out my past and my upcoming videos. I will have them linked right here, and I will see you in the next video. (blows kiss) Ciao, love you! (Happy, upbeat music)
