DIY Glitter Leopard Print Mason Jar

DIY Glitter Leopard Print Mason Jar

To make this leopard print jar, you will need
a clean empty mason jar. Place a piece of clear tape around the center to section off
the top and bottom of the jar. Then paint everything above the tape white. To paint
the leopard spots, take some black paint and paint a few large dots first. Then connect
these dots in a sort of messy, scribbled pattern. Don’t worry about making these spots perfect
because they are supposed to look more like random blobs than perfect circles. Just make
sure to leave an open space at the end so it does not form a full circle. If you like,
you can practice on a piece of paper before you try it on the actual jar. After you’re
satisfied with the amount of large spots, you can go in and fill the empty spaces with
tiny messy dots to finish off the look. Take a glue gun and trace a heart onto the jar,
This might take some practice, but you can always peel off the glue and start over until
you get the heart shape that you like. Next apply some glue to the inside of the spots
and sprinkle them with glitter. You can use any color you like, but I chose to use this
pretty coppery gold color. Cover the outside of the heart with glue and sprinkle more glitter
until it is fully coated. Then just peel off the hot glue and place a ribbon or lace over
the tape in the middle and you’re finished! I like to use this jar to hold my cat’s toys,
but you can put anything you like in it: art supplies, makeup brushes, pens and pencils,
the possibilities are endless! Have fun!
