Easy DIY Wall Decor

hey I’m Catie and today and will be shown you to easy
ways to do some DIY decorations its right behind me on my wall because I wanted to make them today right now so I’m sure you how I did it alright I hope you enjoy so first off here’s this blank wall in my
room that I wanted to add something to, to make it a little
bit more unique and then for the first project you’re going to need a
trash bag or some newspapers will work too. A blank canvas, any size Um, spraypaint- I used gold. A paintbrush some stencils and some paint, but you are also going to
need some thumb tacks for your wall which I forgot to show. So I spread the tra trash bag all over my floor you can do
that same thing with newspapers and here I’m showing you the
spray paint that I used I got it in gold because I thought it would looked really
good against my blue wall and I shook it shook it shook it you can see that I sprayed a little on the side
because I wasn’t nervous but then I just sprayed all over don’t
know why I drew the circle just for fun I just sprayed all over got the edges and I even left
it out- later picked it up and sprayed the edges that you don’t see but if you’re against the wall you can see. You know what I mean? and I let it dry and it was perfect it looked great so I took my stencils and I wanted to measure out
where I wanted the words to go. So I took my pencil and lightly just drew little lines I chose the quote be brave and be kind it’s from Cinderella and yeah
I know it’s goofy whatever it’s a children’s movie but it really
stuck with me and I just kept thinking about it all week
um and I really wanted to have that displayed in my room so I took my little brush and I took my little paints. The paints are some kinda stencil set cream and I I don’t know I guess you can
use whatever you find probably not water colors. And I just went for it. As you can see I just filled the blue color which is what I chose Because my walls are blue, ya know the whole blue and gold thing going on and I just filled it in and I am NOT a
professional and I’m a beginner’s so I know you can
do this and voila! there is the “B” up and close, the first “B”. and the E. Look at that! Here I showed up close again Look how speedy-speedy I am. Super speedy. Viola! I really liked how the
blue and gold looked and you know I’m a beginner so there was
a little bit of messiness but I think it kinda added to it and then I wanted a little period at the
end so you know I just I just did It. I took my little brush and made a little period. I let that dry and moved on to my next
project what you’ll need is some string or twine Whatever you find. Some tape, scissors, clothes pins,- which I boought from michel’s but you
can just use what you have around the house- I know you got some. and pictures. I like photobooth pictures and I also found some other
pictures too around the house. So what i did with the string is I just kind of measured how
long I wanted the string to be on my wall and doubled it. Yep. Look at me. And then tripled it again- that way I
would have three even pieces of String. I could have measured it, but you know what just visually that’s how much I wanted, so it didn’t need to be exact. And so then I
cut the loops that were there that way it wouldn’t all be one long piece of string anymore, it would be three pieces of string. Uhhh FAIL. Fail! yeah struggling today with the scissors Then you’ve just got your three pieces of string. So
then when it decided to do was to tape it up back where I originally wanted the first piece to go. Bam! and I found these cute little clothes
pins at Michaels that have spots, polka dots, stripes, zig zags and I have my photobooth pictures and other
pictures I had around the house and I just hung them up on the line and then I hung the second-string just to the right of the original LAST ONE! I really liked how these pictures turned out hanging on my wall I can see my friends and family and it makes me happy to see them there. So the last thing that I did was take my quote sign
and I hung it on my wall with some push pins and I decided that one wasn’t enough. So I found some other pictures and things around my house that I liked. and I just added them. Hey guys! So that’s it. Thank you for watching
my video I hope you liked it if you did- like it up! Ummmm anyway thank you so much for watching me, it means a lot. See
you later!
