I really chose Interior design because it’s more than just choosing pillows & paint colors. It’s architecture too, so it’s artsy, but it’s also sciencey. And this program specifically, they just have a lot of opportunities. It was challenging and fun, but the classrooms themselves are pretty big so you have plenty of room to work. I think we actually have a really amazing relationship with our faculty here. They are all pretty laid back, and they are fun. They like to level with you one-on-one, they will tell you like it is. I didn’t expect to be such good friends with my professors. The best internship I did was actually at a retail design studio. I learned the whole process, from the very start where they were talking to the people with what they wanted out of the space, to the very end where I was packing up the materials and throwing out the bid list. I really got to see the whole process and it really solidified what I wanted to do in Interior Design and this is what I wanted. I chose the Grad Program here at Endicott because it really sounds to me that it’s going to be a great way for me to enhance myself. I know that they know what they are talking about. They know where the world is going. They know where interior design is going. It’ll just help my career, it will help my abilities to do what want to do for the rest of my life.
