How to crochet a LITTLE EASTER CHICK Egg BASKET, Home decor, Easy crochet for Easter

hi everyone this is Emi today I’m going
to show you how to crochet this little Easter chick basket so let’s get started
to make this little chick I’m going to work with a 5.5 millimeter crochet hook
and one strand of worsted weight yarn start with a slip knot chain twelve one
two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve single crochet in the
second stitch from the hook and each stitch of the chain to make a single
crochet insert the hook through the stitch pick up the yarn pull it through
pick up the yarn and pull it through two now you’re going to go ahead and do that
in each one of these foundation chain stitches okay I worked all the way
across the row and now I’m going to work down this side of the row so I’m going
to turn my work and I’m going to single crochet in each stitch all the way down
this side of the chain so single crochet in each stitch right to the end okay I worked on both sides of the chain
now I’m going to slip stitch to join chain one and turn single crochet in
each stitch all the way around so go ahead and single crochet all the way
around okay worked all the way around at the end of the row slip stitch to join
now each row will be the same chain one and turn single crochet in each stitch
around at the end of each row slip stitch to join so I’m going to go ahead
and I’m going to finish up these rows okay there you go I’ve gone ahead and
I’ve worked six rows and now I’m going to start the neck and the head fold it
in half and just find this approximately the center and place some markers and
there’s my last stitch so I’m going to slip stitch until I reach this marker so
just slip stitch into the stitches and I can remove that marker slip stitch into
that last stitch chain one and turn single crochet all the way across to the
other marker so one single crochet in each stitch and the last stitch now chain one and
turn and now we’re just going to work back and forth this short section so
single crochet in each stitch across the road like that so do one more row I have
turned and I have chained one single crochet in each stitch across the row so now I am going to slip stitch to join
on the other side chain one and turn single crochet in each stitch across the
row at the end of this row I’ll slip stitch to join and slip stitch to join like that and
I’m going to chain one and turn work one more row across now I’m going to reduce for the top of
the head so chain one and turn and I’m going to work single crochet decrease
across the row to do a single crochet decrease insert the hook in the next
stitch and pull up a loop then insert in the next stitch and pull up another loop
and then complete the single crochet so I’m going to continue across the row
pull up a loop pull up a loop right through and the last one and I’m going to a slip stitch to join
fasten all thread the yarn end into a needle and then you can just close up
the top of the head like that so I stuff that little bit up there inside the head
like that and I cut a little diamond shape with orange felt you could either
use construction paper if you don’t have orange felt or you could actually use an
orange marker and just color some paper and I’m going to position that and I
think that’s okay there and you can either glue this in or sew it with some
sewing thread and then I’m going to position some little eyes and you could
sew those on with a needle and thread as well then you can stand that up and
you can fill it with little candies or you can slide a little colored egg in
there so there you go there’s a cute little Easter chick basket I hope you
enjoyed this video thanks for watching bye for now

  2. I like that you don't buy fancy accessories to use in your crochet, but make use of things you already have on hand, like using hairclips for stitch markers. What a great idea! The little chick pattern is adorable.
