How to Crochet Mandala Wall Hanging Part 3 of 3 How to Join Motif to Metal Ring

a quick and thoughtful handmade gift
that brings joy and peace all year long the serenity mandala wall-hanging
crochet project is the perfect gift make one for yourself and anyone on your list
you could also use this mandala motif for Afghan shawls or a wrap
I would love to wrap myself in this gorgeous motif hi I’m Kristin Omdahl
and welcome back to my studio in this series of videos I’m going to show you
how to make these beautiful wall hangings surprisingly enough they each
take the same amount of yarn the one on the top uses a sampler kit of eight
colors of Be So Serene yarn and the one on the bottom takes one solid hank of Be
So Serene yarn if you follow the link in the video description you can get a list
of all the materials you’ll need as well as download the free pattern plus chart
in this series of videos I will be showing you how to read the chart as
well as how to crochet the stitches in the chart and then how to join them to
the metal ring let’s get started okay in the third and final video for the
crochet mandala wall-hanging I’m going to show you how to crochet the
last round from the chart and at the same time how to join it to the metal
ring before we get started just want to show you a quick reminder that we’re
going to be working five chain three spaces over each repeat and it’ll be the
center or third chain three space that’s going to get joined to the ring and how
we join it to the ring is the same as if we’re joining a motif to an adjacent
motif we’re going to replace that chain three space with a chain one slip stitch
chain one so now we’re ready to get started we’re going to join our yarn to
the first chain one space in any one of the shells chain three single crochet in
the next chain one space chain three single crochet in the next chain one
space now we’re ready to do our center or third of five chain three spaces in
this shell and I going to show you how to join it to the
metal ring so we’re going to chain one slip stitch around the chain one ring
and snug it up chain one so we did chain one slip stitch chain one then we’re
going to come back over to our motif and single crochet in the next chain one
space chain three single crochet in the next chain one space chain three single
crochet in the next chain one space chain one
we’ve reached we’ve completed our repeat and we now have our first repeat also
joined to the metal ring and this is what we’re going to repeat all the way
around download the free pattern and chart at
the link provided in the video description and please subscribe to my
