Hi, I’m Natalie and I’m here to teach you
how to patch a hole in the wall. This is super handy especially if you are
renting because we want to make sure that you can get your bond back. There are many ways to patch a hole in a
wall but I’m going to show you the easiest way. Bunnings has these amazing wall patches
that you can purchase. As well as a wall patch,
we’re going to be using some smooth coat, a spatula, and some sandpaper. So the first thing we have done is put a
drop sheet down because we don’t want to ruin the carpet underneath. Get rid of all the excess plaster
sitting around inside. Now that we’ve cleaned up the hole,
we’re going to put a plaster patch on. Today, I’m using a smaller one,
but if you have a bigger hole, use a bigger patch. These plaster patches are
super easy to attach. You simply peel off the back
and stick it onto the wall. Just smear it down the edges,
even grab your spatula to make sure it’s really smooth. Perfect. Now that that’s on there,
we’re going to fill that with some smooth coat. With our smooth coat,
start from the inside and work your way out. ♪ [music] ♪ That’s the first coat done.
Now, we just have to let that dry. As you can see, this wall is now dry so
we’re going to give it a light sand. ♪ [music] ♪ And then pop another layer
of smooth coat on top. Our final coat is dry
and it is looking amazing. Let’s give it one last sand. Amazing.
Now, it’s ready to paint.
