How To Hack Dollar Tree Items On A Budget | Easy Decor DIY Projects To Try | Treshaja

(light music) – [Narrator] Hey guys, welcome back to the channel with Tresha, and I wanted to show you
a couple of DIY hacks that you can do, using
Dollar Tree supplies. The first hack is a
Dollar Tree vanity tray. You will need an eight by 10
frame from the Dollar Tree. First, I’m going to remove all
of the contents in the frame. Next, remove all of the tabs using pliers. Afterwards, I decided to take it outside to a well-ventilated area
and spray paint it gold, but I didn’t show it in this video. If you don’t want to spray paint, you can also brush on gold leaf paint. I decided to purchase these
metal feet from Hobby Lobby to give my tray a little bit of height. And I spray painted these gold too. Using E6000, I’m just going to apply a little bit in the inside of the feet, and then just press it onto the frame. I’m gonna make sure the
frame is facing upward. Once the glue has dried, I
just flipped over the frame and added the glass back. The next hack is a jewelry tray. I purchased a 12 pack of these clear plates
from the Dollar Tree, and you’ll only need one. You’ll also need to
grab some acrylic paint. These are about a dollar or two. You can find them at
your local craft store. And you’ll need a brush. First you wanna flip over your plate, and then brush on the paint. I ended up putting two coats on, and then to protect the paint, you can also put a protective coat. Now that it’s dry, I’m
just gonna flip it over, and use my gold leafing pen. I’m simply going to add the gold to the edge of the plate. And to give it a personal touch, I added this gold sticker
that I found at Hobby Lobby. The next hack is a Dollar
Tree decorative mirror. I purchased this magnetic
mirror at the Dollar Tree. I thought it was pretty cool. It has that magnetic strip on the back. Although the purple frame was nice, I decided to paint it white, just to make it look clean and chic If you decide to do this, make sure you cover the mirror with painter’s tape to protect it. While I was at Hobby
lobby, I decided to pick up these bronze plated corners, just to add a decorative touch. And I spray painted these gold. Next I’m going to add E6000
into the corners of the plate, and then just place them on
the corners of the mirror. To finish it off, simply remove the tape. Oh, and if you go to Dollar Tree and you see one of these stackable organizing drawers, grab one. I wanted to maximize the
usage of these drawers, so I separated the two. This way, I can use the outer
part to put my brushes in, and the inner part to put
my beauty blenders in. Thanks, guys, for watching. If you liked this video

  7. You are so creative. I was going to make the clothes pin art the first of the week. I went to the Dollar Tree and never found the hoops or clothes pins. I'll check another local Dollar Tree and maybe, if I'm lucky, they will have what I need. Think I'll make a few of the "Dollar Tree Hacks" for a upcoming birthday present and maybe even a nice Christmas present. Keep up the great work.

I SEE BIG THINGS COMING FOR YOU. MAYBE SEEING YOUR CREATIONS IN MAGAZINES OR YOU DOING A BOOK THAT YOU COULD PARTNER UP WITH LOCAL COMPANIES AND EXPAND THEIR BRANDS WITH YOUR CREATIVE MIND. I KNOW I AM GOING ON BUT YOU GOT IT!
