HOW TO INSTALL CORNERBEAD DRYWALL

hello my friends Bahiano here, in this
video I gonna show you how to install corner beads on the drywall, drywall outside corners okay, by the end of this video, you guys will be able to do it by
yourself okay, let’s work. yes is this recording? This a paper bead super wide, this is metal on inside and a paper on the outside. we don’t use it very often but we’re gonna do it. just for the video, people still using it you can find them to buy but
they are not as good as the metal, paper bead I gonna measure this size
we’re just going to leave a little bit gap on the bottom so eighty ninety five and 5/8 would work for this one. here 89″ and 5/8 I just have a
tin snips, we just have a tin snips and I is what we gonna use to cut
it to cut metal have marked in there eighty-nine five eights, cut this side and the other side. I just gonna cut this little bit on the end here was just popping
out a bit a little bit so I don’t want this to be sticking out when we doing the mud, here we have taping mud, like you guys can see is soft but we
premix it, but it’s not like a very soft that it dropped to the floor.
It would takes a bit before you make mess, this one here like you see I’m just
gonna grab it I just put it like that don’t be afraid to put mud on, because we’re gonna to clean it all off, just make sure you have mud on all over the corner. let’s go on the other side and do the same way. I like to put lots of mud, that way a it hold very good, like you guys can see just make sure you have mud everywhere
on the drywall, like you can see, do not leave any space without mud, if you think it
needs, you can spread it good, now here we are good this one is less than 8 feet, but if you have more than 8 feet, for my height I don’t real reach 8 feet I just I would load a little bit extra mud on the
ends to make sure it gonna hold, you guys can see I just gonna put it on push it up, just to make sure that the mud gonna have good contact. You see I’m just going on this corner in there. I just wants to make sure that, we’re gonna have a good contact between the
metal and the paper, right? The way in here I can use this the level but I’m not
gonna check the level of this one I just wanna make sure it is straight not too
mess up with the eye. I’m just going to use the level, just
like a straightedge, what I’m looking for in there I just wants to make sure this is straight , is like you guys can see I chosen this one
because it is not like you guys can see the little gap in there you see you have
there on the corner is a little gap on the corner right there, see? You guys can see now, what gonna do i n here, I just gonna pull it out from both side, what I gonna here, gonna bring it out from both sides. you can see there we gonna need a bit more mud to make sure this part, like you guys can
see the metal is a lots of mud underneath, just gonna load a bit more from
both sides, then I just gonna loosen it up like that. you guys can look right now, you
see, there is no more gap in there, the corner bead is a nice and straight from both sides, gap
is gonna. I know this corner bead is good, i am not gonna touch metal part, all I gonna do is just clean up the paper in here, just a paper part, like you guys
can see see how I’m running the knife just like on the paper part like I say this is the reason that I
picked this one because the drywall was not very straight, I just want to show
you guys. We have a lots of mud behind here, so you see this thing is not a
problem this is mud, I gonna show you guys, you guys can see look, we have a lots of mud in there and this
is solid. Yeah when you clean the mud, to make sure that you have enough mud just don’t go too hard see like you guys
can see here still have some mud, see the difference this is one small layer of mud
see if I squeeze it, you guys gonna see I have a little bit mud, not too much I have some mud enough to hold it. like you guys can see, we have a little gap in there, just enough to load the mud, this is important to
leave just what you need, when we load the mud gonna load this gap, I have the trowler here, but you guys see is just a little space, it’s important
not to leave too much of a gap otherwise gonna use lots of mud and gonna take a long time to dry, so this is a like perfect corner bead, this corner bead in here is nice and straight I mean like when you look at it, right straight to the corner, like this one once you look at it, it is right
straight to each other so it’s nice and square good to go, ready to be loaded with mud. Next I gonna show you how to install a metal corner bead, and it’s very much the same process, except I gonna use some screws and a corner bead clincher I will show you both ways, let’s see if you
have a I screw gun or nail gun, you just put it on a few screws right, like the corner beads has few holes, just gonna push it in, I put this side the same way, all I am doing here is making sure that ,we have enough space for the mud. what I will do here on the bottom I would do the same way put few screws just to to hold it on, right on the bottom, right now, like you can see be able to load, no problem, lots of the t time this little tends to
pop out so it’s very important to have a nail or screw right on the top, like you guys can see okay, we’re just gonna make sure that this is deep enough, that way when we are loading the mud not gonna touch the screw. like you can see it, the mud would
not touch it both sides will have some space for the
mud okay, this is another way that you can do it, install the metal corner bead, if you work on on the high rise and have a lots of metal, this
one works very good, you just put it on like something like that, like you guys
can see, it’s running very smooth, with one of these guys like you guys can see there you can see
that little clinch in there, it will hold the corner bead on to the drywall, right now you can see once we punch it you guys can see it moves, nothing much to it, just like that, this one is Marshalltown, this is a good piece, when we use this guy it go together with a rubber hammer, it’s not not a regular hammer, nice and fun huh, yeah okay guys thank you for watching this video, thank you for your support and I appreciate it a lot and I love you guys, see you in the next videos thank you, if you have any more question
about the corner beads, I will reply or make a video on it,
thank you my love yo guys
