How To Mount DIY Plantation Shutters

I’m Ben, and I’ll be
showing you how to install EasyAS adjustable plantation shutters. Not only are they affordable and easy
to install, they’re the world’s first adjustable shutters,
so they’ll fit any window. The DIY shutters have instructions
that you’ll easily be able to follow. To install your shutters,
you will need a drill with a Phillips head bit, a tape measure,
and the EasyAS DIY shutter kit. There’s 25 different sizes in the range,
so you should find a kit that fits. If you don’t, you can
get them custom made. The first thing you need to do
is measure up your windows to figure out what size shutters you need. Assemble the frame on the floor
and then put the covers on the corners. Assemble the adjustable frame corners
by sliding the locking key into position at the back of the frame. Clip the corner covers onto
the edges of the adjustable frame. Make sure your hinges
are all facing the right direction. I’m securing the T-post here
with a 40 millimeter screw. Place your assembled frame
into the window. Grab your Allen key and turn the
mechanisms along the window frame until it fits perfectly. These mechanisms around the window frame
allow you to adjust it to fit perfectly. Now the frame’s in and adjusted, I’ll fix
it in place using the 70-millimeter screw through the Allen key
mechanism and secure one point on each edge of the frame. Starting from the left,
attach your shutter panel with the hinge pins. Using the remaining frame screws,
fix the frame to the window. Cover the holes with the white stickers. You’re nearly done, the last thing
you need to do is screw the hinge locking screws into place. These shutters look a million bucks
but they didn’t cost me anywhere close to that. I’ve freshened up the room
with some really great shutters, they give you privacy and light. The best thing about these is
if you put them in the kid’s room, they’re safe because
there’s no hanging cords. ♪ [music] ♪
