How to Paint a Mural : Creating Texture & Dimensions in Murals

So we’ve been working on the tiger here, and
the hills in the distance. Now we’re going to expand it around to the point where I paint
the tree. There will be more mural that way, but that will come at a future date. So the
tree here, which will be another mango tree, will be the completion of this section of
the mural, that we’re working on now. And then you’ll get to see the rest of the mural
once we’ve completed this. So, right now I’m going to continue working on the mountains
in the background and doing more detail, which I’ve already done on this section here. It’s
not fully completed, but I’m going to start to extend it across the wall now. Mountains
in the whole mural is the same throughout, so I’m using a brown base, and then taking this
yellow to create texture, movement within the mountains. And then what I’ll do at the
base of the mountains is put just a little bit of green. Again, just creating a little
bit more depth and texture. I wanted to break it with this range of brown mountains, just
to give the whole thing more depth.
