ANGELA FRACASSO: Hi, I’m Angela at ExpertVillage.com.
And in this segment, I’m just showing how I’m trying to mix the right color of orange
for our construction sign. So I didn’t have that orange so I’m just going to kinda do
guesswork. So I’m just bringing in some bright orange paint with my Benjamin Moore paint.
And once again, that’s the beauty of acrylics; you can mix all the different acrylic mediums
together to get your right color. So I’m going to need a really bright color so I’m probably
going to need to add a pinch bit of red to this to make it the right color. Those orange
construction signs are kinda bright. And sometimes you need to just keep messing with it and
sometimes you end up with a lot of paint but that’s what you gotta do to get the right
color sometimes. So I’ve got a flat brush here and the reason why is because I like
this–to use flat brushes for solid colors. It has a better coverage and it covers better.
So I think that’s about right. I’m going to go ahead and paint this in. And I might have
to do two coats but that’s okay. And if you wanted, you can roll this on, I suppose, because
it’s just a solid color, put it on or whatever. Well, I guess whatever is the easiest for
you. I think we got the right orange there. It looks like I’ll definitely need to do two
coats on this one. Some of the brighter colors don’t fill in the solid.
