How to Paint Walls : How to Load Paint Roller

Hi this is Dan again. Now we are doing the
demonstration to paint our walls. Now we have the masking done and we have our paint in
the bucket. What I do is I put a screen in the bucket, we have our roller cover already
on and prepped. Now we have our paint roller loaded. I use the screen cause it leaves less
of a mess and I can keep it on inside of the bucket. So to get started we are going to
take a inside corner. I’m going to hold the roller cover so the metal frame is away from
this wall. This keeps from any scratching or anything on the opposite of the wall. I
would start in the middle. I would start in the middle of the wall so I don’t have a large
clump of paint on top or on the bottom. It is harder to move away, it is harder to move,
it is harder to get where we need it to go. So I would go all the way up and down in one
spot. I would avoid touching the ceiling and I would avoid touching the base. I would pick
it up and move it over about 4 inches and all the way, all the away down.

  1. this is the worst help ever

1 use a paint tray and cover the paint trat in a black bin bag so u dont have 2 clean it whn done with just bin it

2 no mater what u do cut in the top sides and bottom its a lot faster

  2. Most painters I know use a tray, myself included. Using a bucket/scuttle is fine for masonary work, but you tend to overload the roller when doing interior stuff. It's a matter of preference. I tend to cut in the entire room on the first coat, then roll. Then 1 wall at a time for the second.then backroll top to bottom. No lines, no dry edges. Easy

  3. oomg .,.. give me a gun to kill myself… by the time this video ends, i could of had that whole wall painted… and f extenders, they are useless.

  4. watching this cos I have screwed up painting a wall, did it 12 times..still crappy.the method here wont work for me , the wall has a thermostat.cold air return plus sockets and light switches. dont laugh at me I am old and trying my best.lol
Have to do it myself budget wise….
