How to Plan a Wall Mural Painting : Liner Brush for Wall Mural Painting

IAN LOVEALL: Hi! I’m Ian Loveall with Expert
Village and we’re painting murals today. Alright, now, we’ve got our liner brush. As you can
see it has a very small tip. This one is a little bit frayed at the end. It has seen
better days. It’s time for me to invest in another one. Anyway, this is used for exactly
what it sounds like, lining. For example, suppose you want to give a sharper edge to
some of your clouds, maybe bring in some smaller details. This is great for that. Part of the
reason I go through these so quickly is because you always want to keep the paint off of this
metal part. This is called the frenal and you want to keep the paint out of that because
it will gather at the base of the bristles and ruin your brush. Well, since I’m always
working very quickly, I’m always dipping my paint brush in the paint too far in covering
the bristles and ruining my brushes. So, if you can be fast and careful or maybe you want to draw a bird of some sort,
maybe a flock of birds, retarded looking birds. Anything small, this is the brush to use.
