How to Remove Bubbles and Creases

How to Remove Bubbles and Creases from our polyester wall decals. After applying your wall decal, you
may notice a few bubbles and creases. This video shows you how to easily work
these out. When you are up close and applying your decal, you’ll tend to notice small imperfections like bumps on your walls or bubbles on
the decal. But, it’s good to keep in mind that from five
or six feet away, where most people will see your decal, these tiny imperfections are not even
noticed. They might not even be worth fussing over. If you do need to work them out, there are a few ways to go about it. The
simplest is just to use a squeegee with only
light pressure to gently move them along to the edges where they are released. If the bubble
isn’t moving easily for you we recommend warming up
the decal with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive bond. This is
usually the best method. The bubble may spread out by itself
from the heat. Or you can use a squeegee to very gently
guide the bubble out to the edges. Creases are a bit trickier and you don’t want to force them with the squeegee as this may just press the crease in even more. Depending on your wall surface, you can
often gently peel back an edge and flatten that part of the decal back into place. We’ve found that egg shell and semi gloss
paints are more forgiving than flat paints. So
here again, we recommend softening adhesive bond with a hair dryer for the best results. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Or you can also view our Frequently
