[LAUGHTER] YOU’RE BRINGING OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS INTO YOUR HOME. YOU WANTED TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE WAS SAFE, I’M SURE. EXACTLIMENT ON TOP OF THAT, MY HUSBAND HAD MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SO HE IS IN A WHEELCHAIR AND MY SON HAS INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY SO I HAVE A WHOLE HOST OF ISSUES. Michaela: YOU HAVE YOUR HANDS FULL. AND NOVEMBER IS NATIONAL CAREGIVERS MONTHS. WHAT’S WONDERFUL IS I CAN SEE AREAS USING COX HOME LIFE TO MAKE SURE EVERYBODY IN MY HOME IS SAFE. FOR EXAMPLE, WITH KIDS WITH AUTISM, THEY TEND TO WANDER. IF A WINDOW OR DOOR IS OPEN, I CAN KNOW WHICH ONE I CAN CHECK IMMEDIATELY, WHICH IS GREAT. SAME WITH MY AUNLS. I HAVE AN ALARM ON HER DOOR. I KNOW EXACTLY WHEN SHE WALKS IN OR OUT, WHICH IS NICE. I HAVE MONITORS TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON. THERE ARE ALL THESE DIFFERENT WAYS TO MONITOR THEM BECAUSE IT CAN BE DONE REMOTELY. Michaela: I FEEL LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE DO THAT SOMETIMES AND EVEN IF YOU HAVE SOME ELDERLY RELATIVES AND YOU ARE LEAVING THE HOUSE, I CAN SEE IF SOMETHING’S GONE WRONG. IN THIS SOCIETIES, WE HAVE SO MANY MULTIGENERATIONAL HOMES RIGHT NOW. IF I’M AT WORK, I CAN SEE SOMETHING HAPPENING THROUGH MY PHONE AND I CAN TURN ON AND OFF LIGHTS. A LOT OF US FORGET TO TURN OFF CURLING IRONS, FIREPLACES, I CAN SET ON AND OFF THE THERMOSTAT. SO, I’M SAVING MONEY, SAVING ENERGY AND I HAVE L.E.D. BULBS THAT LAST 20 YEARS SO I DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THANINGING THEM. — CHANGING THEM. I’M NOT A TECHNOLOGY PERSON. SO, WHAT’S GREAT IS THIS CAN ALL BE DONE ON MY PHONE WITH JUST THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON AND COX WILL COME AND SET IT UP SO IT IS SO EASY FOR ME TO USE. Michaela: I CAN’T HELP BUT PICTURE THE SCENE AT HOME ALONE AND SAY WE FORGOT SOMETHING. DID WE SHUT OFF THE LIGHTS AND CHECK THE COFFEE POT? AND IF THEY DID THAT, THEY’D FIND KEVIN.
