Non-working fireplace decor – Less than $20 Makeover – Home decor on a budget

Hi friends welcome to my channel. This video is part of my decorating on a budget
series. I spent less than $20 to completely transform
my fireplace . I live in California and it never gets too
cold here. I was thinking of different ways to decorate
my fire place and finalized on this decor When we purchased this house, the fire place
was looking really ugly. It was very dark and dusty. I cleaned it up and painted the inside with
light grey chalk paint. After that It then looked like this. With out any further due Lets get started
with the things that was are needed for this less than 5 minutes DIY. You need frames from the dollar tree. You need 4, 11 * 8, 5* 7 and 4*6 frames 5 Led candles – you can get it from the DT
or you can get the remote controlled ones from amazon You also need a glue gun and glue sticks . You
get the glue sticks from Dollar tree. You then need photos of your choice that can
fit into the frames. first take the photo frames and remove the
back. Put the photo it in, You will now only have
the frame the glass in the front and the photo at the back,it will look like this. Put the photo before starting the project,
it will be hard to place the photos after you put all the frames together. I made that mistake and learnt from it. Now take all the same size photo frames, use
the glue gun and stick all the sides of it to make it look like a cuboid. This is how it will look… You can cover the bottom with a foam board
like i have did here or you can keep it open. It won’t be visible so it doesn’t make
any difference whether you cover the base or not. Now put batteries in the candle and put it
inside the photo frame structure you made.. Now repeat the same with the other size photo
frames. In the end you will have 3 photo frame structures. Now arrange them with the 11*8 frame structure
in the centre and the other two on either side. I learnt this design tip: odd number arrangement
of items is always appealing to the eyes. Place the extra two candles on the front Ta da… you are done.. This is how it looks in the morning This is how it looks in the night when the
lights are on and this how it looks when the lights are
off. You can see the lights flicker from the flames.. This video is not doing justice to the color..
it looks amazing, especially in the night time … Thats it folks, that was the less than 5 minutes
DIY and a really quick makeover you can plan for less than $20. Thanks for watching, please subscribe to watch
