Set up your channel art across all devices

Set up your channel art across all devices

In this video, we’ll show you how to optimize
your channel art across platforms. When you upload your own channel art, subscribers
will be able to easily recognize your channel art on computers, mobile devices, and TVs. We recommend uploading a single 2560 X 1440
px image under 4 megabytes. The size of your channel art will change depending
on how big the browser window is. While the safe area will always be shown,
changing the browser’s size will reveal more of your image. On Smart TVs, the whole image will appear. On mobile devices, the safe area will be scaled
down to fit the width of the screen. Tablets will have a slightly larger width
than the safe area. Click this card to download our channel art
template to get started. And that’s it! Subscribe to our channel for more tips and
tricks.

  1. Dear YouTube, all your systems are very good but to make a live video say a song cover record the song then add effects at the same time like reverb does not exist you should consider creating a.app so you can add live effects as far as I know it is not available anywhere and it would be amazing app for everyone who loves reading live videos, thank you 😊

  2. I have a idea. Instead of having one picture on the top of the screen why don't you allow us to cover up the WHOLE channel with the picture we want just like how youtube used to be when every channel was unique because you could change almost everything on your channel.

  3. I don't get it, I use that size and my channel art gets cropped. how do I avoid the damn cropping it's annoying.

  4. Okay so I'm so confused. I watched two videos about how to create your channel art. It told me to go to Picmonkey, but that's not working. Supposedly in my You Tube account I press "How to Create Channel Art", then it takes you to a new tab. From that page you scroll down and there's supposed to be a link for channel art. Where is that??????

  5. every time I try to change channel art it says this: The feature you requested is currently unavailable. Please try again later.

  6. HOW DO I GET THE PX IMAGE TELL ME PLZ I NEED HELP IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT WILL HELP ME NOT GIVE ME THE DIRECTIONS AND NOT GIVE ME WHAT I NEED!!!!!

  7. I downloaded the template and make my banner (less than 4mb) but once I try to upload it to my channel an error occurred. Whats happening!?

  8. Why is it nearly impossible to get what you want within the TINY safe area on mobile? There needs to be a template overlay that we can drop into our photo editing program so that if we want text to display in the teeny tiny safe area on mobile devices we know where to put it, instead of guessing and checking. It took me 4 hours to make channel art for another channel I manage because it was absurdly difficult to get text to display within the safe area on mobile! Hilarious how the help page for channel art just says 'there are different dimensions for the safe area on different devices, here are the aspect ratios!.' Duh! I can see there are different aspect ratios! The problem is getting one picture/design to display properly across different devices. Where's the help for that?! That's the hard part! Your help page just states the blatantly obvious fact that channel art displays different on mobile than desktop and tv. Thanks for the help! <eyeroll>

  9. yea but i would like my whole art to be seen.
not just a small section, people barely watch youtube on tv and i want it all to be shown. Why did you do this?

  10. This aspect ratio and cropping is ridiculous, when will this image be full size on a TV? I've tested this on my smart TV and I've never seen it full screen. Please, please, please program this so we're able to either supply different crops or be able to choose a crop when we upload.

  11. me podría ayudar alguien con este problema por favor, he intentado de todas las formas posibles cambiar mi banner del canal y me marca error
