We Let Our Millennial Employees Paint Our Office Mural

Narrator: Freshly settled into their new HQ the
truly social team noticed the potential to do something truly magical in the
space.” Tara: “So, we had all these fresh, white walls that were just begging for something
creative. So I pitched them an idea: “Why not a mural?” And I think they got
really excited about it.” Narrator: “They weren’t” Alex: “We all hated the idea.” Celestina: “Oh my gosh. SO much work man!” AnnaMaria: “I already have so much to do!” Angie: “I’m actually nervous that it’s gonna
look really bad. Like really bad.” Ammo: “It wasn’t enough that I had to organize
an entire move. Now I have to organize a f&*%ng paint party.” Narrator: “So the team went to work designing
an epic mural.” Tara: “I can’t wait to see what they come up with!” Tara: “The whole office is
eager with anticipation!” Narrator: “Well, maybe not the WHOLE office.” Carlos: “I have no idea why we need a
mural. We’re an agency not an art gallery.” Hunter: “I’m pretty excited. I think it’ll
be great.” Brian: “I’m the new guy. I’m not sure who thought
it was a good idea… to have the entire creative team paint a mural for three days, but it’s a scheduling
nightmare.” Nicole: “I guess they know what they’re doing.” Narrator: “They didn’t.” Alex: “I’ve never painted a mural
before.” Celestina: “Don’t tell anybody…but I haven’t painted
anything before…like ever. So, we’ll see!” Angie: “I’m going to drip pain everywhere. I can
already see it.” AnnaMaria: “I painted a mural once in high
school, so if I could do it at 16, I could probably do it now, right?” Tara: “So, the idea for the design was really inspired
by our core principles…there’s six of them.” “I wanted the team to think about how to
really represent them artfully.” Tara: “What?” Tara: “Oh. Yes. Of course!” So, they’re really really core to the
essence of everything that truly social is… They are fearlessness…flawlessness…
Um……. “Informed!” “Playful!” “Curious?!” “And…opinionated!” “You’re gonna edit that out, right?” Narrator: “With the design completed and signed off, it
was time for a shopping trip!” Off camera: “So, what are we about to do?” AnnaMaria: “We’re gonna go buy some
paint so we can paint a mural!” Off camera: “Fantastic! I’m ready! Let’s go!” AnnaMaria: “I’m so excited, let’s go!” Ammo: “I was absolutely instrumental during the
shopping and planning phase.” AnnaMaria: “We would have been way better off
without Ammo. He just fooled around the whole time.” Ammo: “We need to shed some light on
the situation!” Ammo: “It’s time to step up!” Ammo: “We need to brush up on our skills.” Ammo: “Orange you glad we came here?” Ammo: “I think we’re on a roll!” Ammo: “Can we do it?” Ammo: “Overall, I think it’s been a good trip.” Narrator: “Back from Canadian Tire,
the team was armed with everything they needed to get going. Next it was time to
figure out who was doing what.” AnnaMaria: “We each picked a word and, I
wanted Flawless, because I *am* flawless.” Alex: “Right off the bat, AnnaMaria took a whole
chunk of paint off the wall. So, I took that over.” Narrator: “Finally! It’s time to paint!” Narrator: “Over the next three days, the team built
layer upon layer of the image, slowly revealing the final
product. This involved painstaking precision with endless taping and
planning. Over all, six colors, eight rolls of painters tape, 12 layers of paint, and
over 70 hours of time were put into creating the final product.” Alex: “I think we did the job pretty quickly.” Nicole: “Oh my god, they took so long!” Narrator: “Finally! It was time for the big reveal!” Off camera: “Ready? 1 2 3!” Tara: “Oooooooh myyyyyyy gooooood!”
Everyone: [clapping and cheering] Off camera: “Are you impressed?” Tara: “Oh, it’s so beautiful, I’m going to cry!” Brian: “Yeah, color me impressed! Now if they
could only do their timesheets with the same precision.” Hunter: “I always knew it would be beautiful!” Alex: “Not such a bad idea after all. I’m actually
kind of impressed.” AnnaMaria: “I don’t know, I think it looks pretty good.” Celestina: “Oh my gosh! All that tape! But it was
worth it!” It’s actually quite poppin’, if I do
say so myself.” Angie: “Well, the good news is, I didn’t drip
paint everywhere…and I learned that I’m really good at painting details!
Look at that pug! Look at him!” Ammo: “I think it was a stroke of genius.” Ammo: “I can’t wait for the world to see
it. I think mur-ALL gonna love it!” Carlos: “I think it’s great, but can we gt
back to work?” Ammo: “That’s a wrap!” Narrator: “Or is it?
Stay tuned for more…Truly Social.”
